Analysis of the reasons for insufficient air volume of centrifugal blower

Centrifugal blowers play an important role in industrial production, and their air volume directly affects the efficiency and stability of the production process. However, in actual operation, there may be situations where the air volume is insufficient, which not only affects production efficiency but may also cause damage to the equipment. The following is a detailed analysis of the reasons for insufficient air volume in centrifugal blowers:

1、 Air inlet blockage

The air inlet of a centrifugal blower is the key part where it sucks in air. If the air inlet is blocked by dust, debris, or other foreign objects, it will seriously affect the suction capacity of the fan, resulting in a decrease in air volume. Therefore, regularly cleaning the air inlet and keeping it unobstructed is an important measure to ensure the normal operation of the fan.

2、 Impeller wear

The impeller is the core component of a centrifugal blower, and the centrifugal force generated by its rotation sucks in and accelerates air before discharging it. If the impeller is used for a long time, surface wear will occur, causing changes in its shape and size, which in turn affects the performance of the fan. When the impeller is severely worn, it will significantly reduce the airflow.

3、 Insufficient motor power

As the power source of the centrifugal blower, the power of the motor directly determines the operating capacity of the fan. If the motor power is insufficient, it will not be able to provide sufficient power to the fan, resulting in insufficient air volume. At this point, it is advisable to consider replacing the motor with a higher power or optimizing its operating mode.

4、 Pipeline leakage

The centrifugal blower is connected to the pipeline system for conveying air. If there is a leakage in the pipeline, it will not only cause air loss, but also reduce the overall efficiency of the system. Therefore, regular inspection and repair of pipeline leaks are crucial to ensuring sufficient air flow.

5、 Excessive system resistance

System resistance refers to the various obstructive effects that air experiences during its flow. If the system resistance is too high, such as filter blockage, excessive bends, etc., it will increase the difficulty of air flow, resulting in a decrease in air volume.
